The Black Enterprise Kidpreneur/Teenpreneur Conference hosted by Wendy's International will kick off its popular business education program May 10 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Designed specifically for African American youth, the Kidpreneur/Teenpreneur Conference gives young people from around the country the skills required to be a successful business owner. Created to be as fun as it is educational, the program is committed to developing the entrepreneurial potential of tomorrow's business leaders with a step-by-step approach to business development and management.
Running simultaneously with the 2007 Black Enterprise Entrepreneurs Conference Expo hosted by General Motors, the Kidpreneur/Teenpreneur Conference offers instruction at four levels: Presidents Club (for established and returning young business owners), Future CEOs (ages 14 to 17), Junior Executives (ages 11 to 13), and Futurepreneurs (ages 7 to 10). Attendees will learn how to develop a business plan, further their venture through Website development, and be taught the fundamentals of marketing their businesses using television, radio, and newspapers.

The program culminates with a graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 12 where the students present their completed business plans."
BLACK ENTERPRISE further recognizes a young entrepreneur or group, age 17 or younger, with the Kidpreneur/Teenpreneur of the Year Award. Previous award winners include Atlanta resident Kenya James, publisher of Blackgirl Magazine; Camille Winbush, owner of Baked Ice, an ice cream shop in Pasadena, California; and Najee McGreen of Brooklyn, New York, founder of Techmaster Computer Works
